Save the Dates for Acme Theatre Company's
9 Day Summer Camp
for Ages 8 - 13!
Let’s put on a show! In this exciting nine-day camp, students will receive a speaking role in a short play and be guided through the entire theatrical process—from auditioning to performance. Our camp fosters creativity, teamwork, and confidence while teaching valuable theatrical skills.
Camp Dates & Schedule:

Dates: June 22, 2026 – July 2, 2026

Time: Monday through Friday from 1:30 PM – 3:30 PM (except for the final day)

Final Day (July 2nd): The camp runs from 1:30 PM – 6:00 PM with a special performance for family and friends at 6:00 PM. Dinner will be provided to campers on the final day.

The Davis Community Church Nursery School
4th Street (Between C and D Street), Davis, CA
Camp Groups:
-
Ages 8-10: The "Initial" group, with slightly shorter scripts.

Ages 11-13: The "Awkward" group, with slightly longer scripts.

All students will be divided into small groups of about 10 kids, each with a unique part in the play. Every camper is responsible for memorizing their own lines and learning their blocking, helping them grow as actors and performers!

Camp Details:

The camp is open to students ages 8-13.

All students will have a speaking role in a short play.

Youth in the camp will be guided and mentored by experienced members of Acme Theatre Company.

The camp is run by youth in the company and supervised by adult company members, ensuring a supportive and encouraging environment for all campers.
Covid Protocols:

Specific Covid protocols will be determined 2 weeks before the start of camp, but Acme's general Covid guidelines can be found below:

All students must be vaccinated to date before camp starts.

If a child tests positive for Covid during anytime of camp, they must stay home until ten days have passed and they are consistently testing negative.

Costuming and set construction basics
Important Notes:

All youth staff members are thoroughly background-checked, trained, and vetted before the camp begins to ensure a safe and positive experience for all campers.
