SPRING SHOW: The Tempest

This Memorial Day Weekend, join us outdoors at the Davis Art Center for our traditional free comedy in the park! Shakespeare’s classic comedy brings together magic, romance, and political intrigue on an enchanted and dangerous island. For twelve years Prospero, a powerful magician and former Duke of Milan has been plotting revenge against the usurpers of his throne. Finally a ship bearing his enemies appears on the horizon. Prospero causes a great tempest, the ship runs aground and those aboard find themselves forced to examine themselves and their actions in order to stay alive.



SUMMER SHOW (tentative): The Rememberer

The Rememberer tells the true story of a young Native American girl, who is forcibly taken from her home and placed in a government-run school in 1911. As the chosen "rememberer" for her tribe it is her duty to pass on the stories, history and wisdom of her people. However, the aims of the white boarding school are quite different. This is the story of one woman’s journey through two worlds and the way she learns to weave them together
